G.A. EVENTS LIST 2008	The GA was set up in 1858 and we will be celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2008 with a broad programme of activities. NOW is the time to join us.

Anniversary FESTIVAL OF GEOLOGY Lecture meetings Field meetings (day excursions & weekend excursions) Lecture meetings start with tea at 5.30pm with the talks starting at 6.00 pm at the Geological Society in Piccadilly, London. 	The year 2008 will be significant for the Geologists' Association – we were founded in 1858, so 2008 is the sesquicentenary, the 150th anniversary. We are planning a wide array of events, most notably a major outreach programme into schools as well as other activities that we hope will appeal to members and non-members of all ages. Some events are listed here, but more details of our ten major initiatives in celebration of GA150 coming soon. The first stage of our new programme 'Your Planet Earth' has just been launched.
